WEST HOLLYWOOD — Bar10 WeHo will close Sunday because it’s changing ownership.
Hi Tops Los Angeles, a gay sports bar based in San Francisco, will expand to Southern California and take over the Santa Monica Boulevard space.
Bar10 WeHo, which opened in 2015, posted this week on their Facebook page about the closing.
“As many of you know we have changed ownership and this coming weekend of July 7th and 8th will be our last as Bar 10,” the post said. “We’re so proud to have been part of Weho for the last few years, and are so grateful to all the great people who have come out and supported us, and of course to our amazing staff.”

The location will close for renovation and is scheduled to re-open by mid-August as Hi Tops Los Angeles, according to the post.
“We hope to build on the success that Bar10 brought and be the fun new kid on the block,” the post said. “We can’t wait for you to see what we do with the space, we are super excited to party with everyone!”
Hi Tops debuted in San Francisco in 2012. The gay sports bar will compete with Gym Sportsbar down the street.
