Sweetie darlings, “Absolutely Fabulous The Movie’ is on Blu-ray, DVD

Pill popping, booze binging and chain smoking, nobody does it better than Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone, the lovable ladies from uber popular, across-the Atlantic TV series “Absolutely Fabulous.”

The toxic twosome spent six seasons between 1992 and 2012 engaging in their shenanigans. The BBC series became hit in the U.S. – particularly with the LGBTQ community – after the episodes started airing on Logo in the late 1990s.

Jumping from boob tube to the silver screen, Edina (Jennifer Saunders) and Patsy (Joanna Lumley) made their big screen debut this summer in “Absolutely Fabulous The Movie,” which is available on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD.

EDINA AND PATSY

If you didn’t follow the TV show, no worries, the movie is easy to follow, but if you loved the series, you’ll love the movie.

Edina, a pseudo public relations maven who drinks and does drugs to excess, is obsessed to stay young and trendy. Patsy Stone is Edina’s best friend and primary enabler, whose drugging, drinking and promiscuity far exceed Edina’s naughty ways.

On top of that, career woman Edina, who has been divorced twice, is emotionally dependent on her daughter, Saffron (Julia Sawalha), which has made Saffy skeptical of her mom whenever she shows the smallest hint of compassion.

The TV cast also included Mother (June Whitfield), Edina’s sarcastic mother, and Bubble (Jane Horrocks), Edina’s daffy, personal assistant.

‘ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS THE MOVIE’

This hilarious motley crew returns in “Absolutely Fabulous The Movie.”

This time around, the beloved boozers are in the middle of a media firestorm after being accused of accidentally killing model Kate Moss at a publicity event.

Saunders and Lumley slip into their infamous roles like a glove. Hopefully, they will return for future films.

Following Moss’ mishap, Edina and Patsy flee to the South of France, but the paparazzi and the police are hot on their tail, and so are Bubble and Saffy.

As toxic twins enjoy their French vacation, they encounter an ex-boyfriend, a new love, Joan Collins, an army of drag queens and Dame Edna.

Extras include deleted scenes, outtakes, Dame Edna talking about her cameo and several featurettes.
