Micky’s is for sale.
The venerable West Hollywood gay club, which opened in 1989, is available for $14 million, according to the listing. That price includes the property, the business licenses, and all tangible and intangible assets.
For that price, “the seller will consider a sale-leaseback for 5 years from the close of escrow with one additional 5-year term (lease terms are potentially negotiable),” according to the listing.
But if a buyer wants everything except the real estate, the price is $4 million, according to the listing.
The listing is from the same commercial real estate agency that handled The Abbey and The Chapel sale, which was announced last month.
Micky’s sits on a 9,200-square-foot, two-story building located on 0.10 acres, or a 4,406-square-foot lot, in the heart of West Hollywood’s LGBT Rainbow District. The space was built in 1922, according to the listing.
“First opening its doors in 1989, Micky’s nightclub and gay bar has established itself as the go-to venue in WeHo as one of the longest running, most successful, gay-owned and operated nightclubs in Los Angeles. Seven days a week, Micky’s continues to attract a hugely diverse crowd throughout the week, with top-notch DJs, state of the art audio and visual elements with a modern atmosphere. Micky’s WeHo is also famous for Friday and Saturday night Afterhours, making it the only gay nightclub in West Hollywood that’s able to stay open after 2am. Featuring a variety of themed nights and music genres, Micky’s is the destination place for the ultimate nightlife experience in West Hollywood.”
Though the description states that Micky’s is “the only gay nightclub in West Hollywood that’s able to stay open after 2am,” Heart, a short distance from Micky’s, also is open for afterhours on Friday and Saturday.
