A queer nutcracker at the nationwide retailer Target is becoming quite the item this holiday season.
One TikTok video featuring the doll has racked up more than 549,000 views.
The hype has gotten to the point where many stores are selling out, according to McClatchy. And some folks want it so bad that they’re asking other people on Twitter where they can find one.
Holding a Pride flag, the nutcracker is decked head to toe in queer representation. Its rainbow hat features a jewel in the middle and covers a mop of pink hair. The year is carved on the nutcracker’s stand.
“Show your advocacy for LGBTQIA+ friends and family in fun, festive style with this Pride Nutcracker from Wondershop,” the nutcracker’s description reads. “Showcasing a man dressed in traditional nutcracker costume … this decorative figurine helps you get in the rhythm for a fun and festive Christmas. The bright color scheme adds a merry touch to your seasonal display.”

One of the item’s “highlights” on Target’s website reads, “Pride nutcracker celebrates pride during the holidays.”
On Twitter and TikTok, users have been having a genuine laugh over it.
A TikTok user wrote, “It reeks of rainbow capitalism…That being said, hell year.”
Another called it the “yasssification of the nutcracker,” and another simply wrote, “Sleigh.”
Many on TikTok also wrote that the doll was the definition of camp, yet others are feeling a bit perplexed by the nutcracker.
One user wrote, “This feels like the best form of representation as well as a hate crime….I’m honestly so confused.”
